We put in your hands a destination that needs no introduction.
The pleasure of La Gomera and what to say about the surrounding environment, full of wonderful views and an enviable climate.
The island of La Gomera, almost circular in shape, is the second smallest of the Canary Archipelago. It is located in the western province, and its capital is San Sebastián de La Gomera. It is also known as the Columbian island, as it was the provisioning place for Admiral Christopher Columbus on his voyage to discover the New World.
Since 2012, the island has been a Biosphere Reserve.
In the center of the island is the Garajonay National Park, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986. Additionally, the Silbo Gomero (a whistled language inherited from the indigenous Gomeros) has also been a World Heritage Site since 2009.
Located on the southern slope of the island, Alajeró is a municipality dominated by plains and cereal and grazing lands. The main town, of the same name, welcomes visitors with its narrow streets, stone houses, and the friendliness of its people. With well-cultivated orchards and numerous trails leading to the various hamlets scattered across its territory.
Playa de Santiago is a fishing village. With its pebble beach, restaurants, and small shops along the Maritime Avenue, it paints a very picturesque image on the Atlantic horizon. The access is unbeatable, the airport is less than 5 minutes away, and the port of San Sebastián, with all maritime connections, is 25 minutes away.
